Terms of Service

Last updated: August 11, 2026

The short version: Precision Capture is a Chrome extension by Sopenu Lab. Free is free forever. Pro is a one-time purchase. Ultimate is a yearly subscription that covers the ongoing cost of keeping your library in sync. What you capture is yours. Use it fairly and it'll keep working for you.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Precision Capture (the "Extension"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Extension. These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

2. What the Extension does

Precision Capture takes full-page and selection screenshots, lets you annotate them, and clips pages to Markdown, entirely from your browser. It's offered in three plans:

Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Sopenu account — you're never billed again for it. Ultimate is a yearly subscription: it renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel.

Known limitation — importing annotations onto a live page: annotation positions are stored as page coordinates captured at the time you made them. Exporting an annotation set and re-importing it onto the original web page (as opposed to a saved screenshot) assumes the page renders the same way it did back then — same viewport size, zoom level, and screen resolution. If any of those differ, or the page itself has changed, imported annotations may appear shifted from the content they were meant to mark. Annotations layered on a saved capture/screenshot aren't affected by this, since that image never changes.

3. Accounts

You don't need an account for the Free plan's core features. Signing in with Google is required to purchase a paid plan, to unlock it inside the Extension, and to manage or cancel it later. You're responsible for keeping access to the Google account you sign in with. Precision Capture is not directed at children under 13 and accounts should not be created by anyone under that age.

4. Payments and plans

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD at checkout.

Pro is billed once; the price you pay may change for future purchases without affecting the plan you already own.

Ultimate renews automatically every year on the date you first subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the account section of the upgrade page (which opens Stripe's billing portal) — cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current period; Ultimate features stay active until the period you already paid for ends. If we change Ultimate's price, we'll tell you before it takes effect on your next renewal. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it a few times; if it keeps failing, your account reverts to Free until you update your payment method — nothing you've captured or annotated locally is affected. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

5. Your content

Screenshots, annotations, and clips you create with the Extension are yours. We don't claim ownership over them, and — as described in the Privacy Policy — we don't have access to them unless you explicitly turn on cloud sync, in which case they go to your own Google Drive, not our servers. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to capture and annotate whatever pages you choose to.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't:

7. Availability and changes

Core capture, annotation, and Markdown features work offline and don't depend on us staying online. Account sign-in, purchases, and Ultimate cloud sync depend on our servers and on Google's, and we can't guarantee they're never interrupted. We may add, change, or retire features over time; if a change materially affects a paid feature you've bought, we'll do our best to let you know.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Extension, or delete your account entirely, at any time — see the account section of the upgrade page. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate the acceptable-use terms above; where reasonably possible, we'll try to tell you why.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Extension is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension, including loss of captured content — please keep your own copies of anything important, the same as you would with any tool.

Governing law and dispute-resolution terms for this section aren't finalized yet — this page will be updated once they are.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Extension evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continuing to use the Extension after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
