Refund Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Pro ($9.90) is a one-time purchase. Ultimate ($19.90/year) is a subscription that renews automatically. This page covers refunds for both, and how to cancel Ultimate so it stops renewing.
7 days, no questions askedFrom any charge — Pro's one-time payment, or Ultimate's first payment or any yearly renewal — we’ll refund it in full, no explanation needed.

1. How to request a refund

  1. Email sopenu.support@gmail.com from the same address you used to sign in and purchase.
  2. Let us know which plan and charge you'd like refunded (Pro, or Ultimate's initial payment or a specific renewal) and roughly when it happened.
  3. We'll confirm the charge against your account and process the refund through Stripe.

2. Cancelling Ultimate

Cancelling stops future renewals — it's separate from a refund on a charge you've already paid. Cancel any time from the account section of the upgrade page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Ultimate stays active until the end of the period you already paid for; it doesn't renew after that, and you're not charged again.

3. What happens to your plan

Once a refund is processed (or a subscription period you cancelled ends), your account reverts to the Free plan — paid-only features (custom watermark, unlimited history, combine/export, cloud sync, annotation layers/export/import) turn back off. Anything you already captured, annotated, or clipped stays on your device exactly as it was; nothing is deleted.

If you'd turned on Ultimate cloud sync, the files already synced to your own Google Drive stay there — that's your Drive, not ours, so neither a refund nor a cancellation touches it. You can disconnect the sync integration any time from your Google Account permissions.

4. Processing time

We process refund requests within a few business days of receiving them. Once Stripe issues the refund, it typically appears back on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

5. After the 7-day window

Requests made more than 7 days after a charge aren't guaranteed, but write to us anyway — if something on our end went wrong (a duplicate charge, a renewal that should have been cancelled, a purchase that never unlocked your plan, and similar), we'll sort it out. Outside of that, the right move is usually to cancel so it simply doesn't renew again.

6. Chargebacks

If something's wrong with a charge, please reach out to us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute, and it avoids the fees a chargeback adds for both sides.
